John Deely, Principal Managing Broker of Coldwell Banker Bain’s Lake Union office, has been elected 2017 Chair of the Northwest Multiple Listing Service (NWMLS) board of directors. The NWMLS, owned by its member real estate firms, is the largest full-service MLS in the Northwest. Its membership of nearly 2,100 member offices includes more than 25,000 real estate professionals. The organization, based in Kirkland, Wash., currently serves 23 counties in the state.

John's career in real estate dates back to 1978, and he assumed his current leadership role at Coldwell Banker Bain in March, 2008. Among his service to Northwest MLS, John has been a long-time member of its Forms Committee, and is a  widely-recognized and quoted expert on local market data. Additionally, John has served as chair of the Washington Association of Realtors® Risk Reduction Committee and is credited with initiating the push for unified real estate forms statewide. He is also well known among top producers for his coaching skills. In 2008, the state Supreme Court appointed John to be a real estate industry representative on the state's Limited Practice Board.

“We congratulate John on his election to NWMLS Chair,” said Mike Grady, President and COO of CB Bain. “He serves as a strong leader for one of our busiest offices, and can always be counted on for an astute and thoughtful perspective on market data and what it means for home buyers and sellers. We are very proud of his accomplishments."
